1) Do not view Pay Per Click as an easy way to make money.

I can­not tell you how many times new online mar­keters have told me that they heard of pay per click adver­tis­ing with Google AdWords and that their plan to become suc­cess­ful online is to just start buy­ing traf­fic on Google.

YES, start­ing with pay per click is the sin­gle fastest way to start get­ting traf­fic but do not fall into the trap that it is easy! It is easy to buy traf­fic, but it is not easy to make money with pay per click. Those days are over. I am sorry to dis­ap­point you but mak­ing money with pay per click was easy 6 years ago. Those times have long passed!

2) Do not view Pay Per Click as a quick way to make money

If you are hop­ing that pay per click is an easy way to make a for­tune online you are mis­taken! Do not buy the hype. Yes, pay per click is a HUGE mar­ket and a HUGE oppor­tu­nity but if you don’t know what you are doing, and I assume you know very lit­tle since you are search­ing for the key­word “pay per click make money” then don’t believe any­one that will tell you that you can suc­ceed very quickly. In fact, did you know that new adver­tis­ers, espe­cially on Google face a huge disadvantage?

3) You can make a lot of money with Pay Per Click

For those of you that are avid read­ers of our blog, you will know that we share with you noth­ing but the truth and hard facts. The truth is, we do make a lot of money via pay per click adver­tis­ing. How­ever, it varies widely from mar­ket to mar­ket. In some mar­kets we suc­ceed bril­liantly, in oth­ers we fail and it takes us months, some­times 4–6 months before we become prof­itable. And some­times, we sim­ply get crushed.

Mak­ing money with pay per click is all about fig­ur­ing out a win­ning process that will help you to iden­tify win­ning key­words and group­ing those into win­ning ad groups.
