Getting Your Google Campaigns on Yahoo

If you haven’t already started adver­tis­ing on Yahoo, maybe it’s about time.

We’ve noticed Yahoo con­ver­sions cost­ing us slightly less than Google. Per­haps because so many peo­ple ignore Yahoo and thus keep its aver­age bids per key­word lower than the almighty Google.

If you’re con­sid­er­ing Yahoo but dread­ing the work needed to get your cam­paigns online, try this nifty lit­tle tool.

Have you ever spent hours try­ing to re-structure your Google cam­paign to upload into Yahoo!? You down­load your Google cam­paign, re-arrange the columns to fit Yahoos! upload struc­ture, only to get errors from Yahoo! say­ing they can’t deter­mine which is the par­ent ad group? I’ve encoun­tered this many times, and just recently I found a tool in Yahoo! to help with this prob­lem. It’s the ‘Con­vert Third Party Cam­paigns’ tool under the import fea­ture of the Yahoo! interface.

    What have you guys noticed regard­ing the amount of traf­fic that is ref­er­erred from yahoo vs google. Even though con­ver­sions costs are less, what % of traf­fic does yahoo really account for in your guys’ estimation?

    We found that Yahoo was pro­vid­ing 30% of our PPC traffic
