How to use the Search Query Report in Google AdWords to Find New Keywords

Did you ever wonder what keywords trigger your ads when you select “broad” matching in Google AdWords?

Now you can find the answer.  Just use the “Search Query Performance” report in Google AdWords to find the answer.

As you may already know, when you permit Google to use “broad” matching your ads will show up for ANY keyword phrase that contains the original keyword.

However, that is not all.  Google will also show your ad for all keywords that are ‘broadly’ related to the keyword that you are “broad” matching.

The net result… you will discovery lots of great new keywords that you have missed out on AND lots of keywords that you must add to your negative keyword list to prevent yourself from getting burned with Google AdWords.
