Frank Kern discussed the concept of the “Customer Avatar” on Day 2 of the Strategic Profits Event in Orlando.

So What’s a Customer Avatar? In this video I explain this concept and talk about a major screw up we made by sending out an email recently without understanding the “Customer Avatar” Concept.

    Hi Vishen,

Excellent video. Thanks for sharing what you’ve learned at the seminar and for telling us about Quantcast.
We are checking out the site now.

    OK Vishen,

now it’s your turn to and actually survey your visitors and compare the results to the quantcast reports. You really do think that 41% of your audience is 65+? And how about the estimate of 3.2k visitors/month..? Maybe true — but I just dont believe it.

When Frank Kern talks about Customer avatars, isn’t it the same as the Eisenbergs’ concept of Customer personas (www.grokdotcom)..?! I just ordered the dvds of the Strategic Profits event and look forward to watching Frank Kern’s presentation. What was the no1 eye opener of the whole event for you?

Hi Vishen, Thanks for sharing your learnings. I was just checking out Quantcast and the stats for our various brands. Since each brand is unique, the demographics were different in each stressing the importance of sending the right marketing message to the customer in order to increase conversion.

    Safe travels,
    Adelle

Thanks for the tip about Quantcast. I just checked it out for my flagship site, and was shocked. I knew visitors were female and fairly young, but I had no idea how dominant the 18–24 age group was in our niche. This is definitely going to change the way we market to our list!
