Can You Really Achieve Success With Google AdWords in 5 Days?

I am asking this question because Perry Marshall offers a free email marketing course called “5 Days to Success With Google AdWords.” Perry Marshall worte this course as a freebie to entice people to purchase “The Definitive Guide to Google AdWords”

By all means, please go and check it out but please be careful because so many new online marketers get terribly burned with Google AdWords exactly because they think it is so easy that anyone can do it in 5 days.

Here is what you can achieve in 5 days with Google AdWords

• You can build a winning keyword list
• You can learn how to break that keyword list into dozens, no hundreds of Ad Groups (one of the single most important and often ignored steps)
• Identify all of the negative keywords for each Ad Group (again, most new marketers ignore this, which is a very big mistake)
• Setup conversion tracking in Google AdWords to start measuring your acquisition costs the moment you go live
• Write your first ads for each Ad Group

Here is what you cannot achieve in 5 days with Google AdWords

• Success with Google AdWords

By all means, you can get started with Google AdWords and if you are lucky you might also make your first sale in 5 days and earn a positive return on investment.

However, what I mean to say is that whatever your results will be in the first week, they will pale in comparrision to what they can be if you just stay with it. That is because getting started is no longer as easy as it used to be.

So, what you can really do in 5 days is to learn what a winning system looks like and start to implement that winning system and turn your Google AdWords campaign on. However, success will come after weeks of tweaking.

The moment you turn your campaign on is when all the work but also all the fun really starts. That is when you start to tweak your bidding strategy and the copy of your ads to keep improving your results week after week after week. If you AdWords account is setup with a winning system, then the tweaking is really quite easy and a lot of fun as you see the results come in.

To get started out of the gate faster, however, requires more advanced strategies to position yourself to achieve success perhaps not within 5 days but within the first couple of weeks.

The advanced strategies require you to start bidding much higher just to overcome the lack of history since you do not yet have a quality score associated with the new keywords that you are bidding on.

While it is unlikely that you will have success with Google AdWords in 5 days, I can guarantee you that you can learn what it takes and adopt a winning Google AdWords system in 5 days.
